Some cultures have had official state diviners who were responsible for advising leaders on important decisions. While others view these activities more sceptically or even consider them taboo. Regardless of personal beliefs, divination has been practiced throughout human history in many different forms. It continues to hold cultural significance in some parts of the world today.
